Gummy Bears

Have you ever eaten those small chewy candies shaped like bears? They are called "Gummy Bears" and were invented in Germany by a man named Hans Riegel.

Hans Riegel started his own gummy business and named it "Haribo". In the United States, Haribo gummy bears come in five flavors (and colors): raspberry (red), orange (orange), strawberry (green), pineapple (colorless), and lemon (yellow).

To make a gummy bear, seven ingredients are mixed and heated. Then it is poured into a mold that creates the "bear" shape. Once it cools down, the gummy bear is ready to eat.
